Chairman of the board of directors of the Public Institution for Consumer Markets Yasser Zebian stated that the Karantina fish market will be closed today (February 07) at 3 PM for a week in order to introduce improvements at the facility.
On Thursday, Beirut Governor Ziad Shbeib called for the closure of Karantina’s fish market for failing to respect the terms of food safety, noting that the benches with fish on display do not conform to food safety standards.
