The owners of regular and refrigerated cargo transit trucks staged a sit-in Monday on Tripoli highway, to protest against the government’s failure to resolve the transportation issue after the closure of Nassib crossing on the Syrian-Jordanian border.
The protesters threatened to escalate their movements should the cabinet fail once again to meet their demands, proposing to provide ferries in order to transport the trucks by sea.
