REPORT: Speaker Berri: Parliamentary sessions do not require the approval of all ministers
House Speaker Nabih Berri was quoted as saying that he will call for holding parliamentary sessions after opening an extraordinary legislative session, pointing out that these meetings do not require the approval of all ministers.

According to deputies, Speaker Berri noted during the Wednesday periodic meeting that the country’s current situation requires activating the work of state institutions rather than destabilizing and paralyzing them.

On another note, Berri reiterated Lebanon’s unified stance in terms of facing any Israeli aggression, voicing Lebanon’s support to the demarcation of the maritime border under the supervision of the United Nations and in accordance with resolution 1701.
