REPORT: Blackouts, power rationing overwhelm Lebanon
The Lebanese capital Beirut has been reeling from severe power rationing with sources at Électricité Du Liban (EDL) noting that “other regions are also enduring the repercussion of rationing due to malfunctions in factories and high pressure on the network.”

In a statement, EDL company announced that it was forced to terminate the two power lines that feed Ksara - Deir Nbouh starting Tuesday morning and for 4 consecutive days, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., in order to undertake urgent maintenance works.”

The company added that blackouts will occur in regions that feed from the following main transfer stations: Lawbeh, Hermel, Anjar, Jeb Jennine, al-Qobayat and Beit Malat.
