REPORT: MP Aoun’s latest statements stir controversy

Head of the Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun warned on Saturday the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwaji against dragging the army troops into a confrontation with the people.

He also accused the cabinet of attempting a coup against the parliament, the constitutional council and the Lebanese army.

Aoun’s statements stirred controversy among the Lebanese officials and a wide range of responses.
