REPORT: Lebanese officials launch Beirut International Festivals

The Beirut International Festivals were launched today (Tuesday) in a press conference held in the presence of Minister of Tourism Michel Pharaon, Minister of Culture Rony Arayji and the spouse of Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Lama Salam.

During the conference, Minister Arayji called for extending the duration of the festivals in order to grant the biggest audience possible the chance to attend.

For his part, Minister Pharaon said: “almost a year ago we decided to depend on the civil society to make international festival successful.”

As for the Premier’s wife, she declared that the festivals will commence as of the 21st of September and will end on the 27th.
