REPORT: Lebanon’s waste crisis likely to last one more month

Lebanon enters today the second month of the alarming trash crisis that is spreading diseases in light of the concerned parties’ inability to find solutions to this problem.

In July, a waste management crisis grappled the nation after the closure of the Naameh landfill. Several options have been put forward to resolve the issue and minsters issued warnings but no concrete measures have been taken thus far.
