REPORT: Speaker Berri rejects campaign against Amal Movement
Visiting MPs quoted House Speaker Nabih Berri as saying that “contacts are being made to secure the success of the cabinet session scheduled for tomorrow as well as the signing of several governmental decrees.”

Following the Wednesday periodic meeting, deputies noted that Berri contacted Premier Tamam Salam and discussed with him the above mentioned issues.

Concerning the demonstrations, Berri pointed out that all the citizens have the right to protest; however, rejected the campaign addressed against Amal Movement.

For his part, MP Ali Fayyad reiterated that all ministers, who withdrew from Tuesday’s cabinet session before signing the decrees, will have to check them and sign what they deem important and necessary.
