REPORT: Sandstorm hitting Lebanon currently ebbing
After three consecutive days, the sandstorm hitting Lebanon subsided,  weather reports and eyewitnesses said Wednesday.

The storm, which battered the country with sand and dust resulted in several cases of asphyxiation and shortness of breath, leading to a number of deaths.

The Lebanese Red Cross stated that 507 people were transported to hospitals for suffering pulmonary related illnesses and difficulties.

The Health Ministry issued a statement whereby it said that the cases of asphyxiation caused by the sandstorm increased to at least 2000, noting that no deaths were registered other than the 3 previously reported.
