REPORT: UCC vows escalatory steps in case of failure to approve salary scale
The Union Coordinating Committee warned Tuesday that it will take escalatory moves if the concerned parties do not take the necessary steps to approve the salary scale, saying that it will do what it takes to obtain its rights.

During a sit-in that was held in Beirut, the committee clarified that its movement aims at pressuring on the political class to reactivate the parliament.

For his part, the head of private schools teachers syndicate in Lebanon Nehmat Mahfouz confirmed that the committee will impose the salary scale on the agenda of the parliamentary session, reiterating that “protests are considered as sacred rights that are protected by the law and the constitution.”

On another note, Mahfoud said that the strike that was held by the Public Secondary School Teachers Association today noon and the one held in the afternoon by the UCC have “the same goal.”
