REPORT: Lebanese army Intelligence Adjutant escapes shooting in Tripoli’s al-Qobbeh
The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that unknown armed men opened fire in the northern city of Tripoli at a Lebanese army Intelligence Adjutant without injuring him.

The agency identified the Adjutant only by his initials as A.M. who was subject to gunfire in the region of al-Qobbeh.

The Lebanese army carried out patrols and raided a number of houses including that of fugitive Islamist Shadi al-Mawlawi who remains at large.

They arrested a man on suspicion of his involvement in the shooting, and set up checkpoints in several regions of the city, mainly in al-Qobbeh and Bab al-Tabbaneh.
