Bou Saab: 8 to 10 illegal border crossings currently exist on borders with Syria

Minister of Defense Elias Bou Saab held on Monday a security meeting in the presence of Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Major General Joseph Aoun and heads of security apparatuses.

Talks reportedly featured high the illegal border crossings whereby Bou Saab noted that 8 to 10 illegal border crossings currently exist on the borders with Syria.

He also added that “work is currently underway with the army’s command to reduce smuggling at the remaining crossings in preparation for closing them permanently.”
