Hezbollah Jihadist, fall on foreign grounds

Hezbollah's declaration regarding the death and injury of a number of its members while on Jihadi missions has raised various questions in light of press publications highlighting those missions as ongoing support for the Syrian regime.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah has refused to both confirm or deny fighting alongside the Syrian regime and stressed instead that nothing will be added to previous statements, especially one pertaining to the death of "Abu Abbas".

For its part, the Syrian opposition broadcasted a video for Al-Baraa Battalion during which its chief announces the death of Ali Hussein Nassif nicknamed "Abu Abbas".


In the meantime, Al-Manar television broadcasted footage of the funeral procession of "Abu Abbas" in Bekaa and Zein el-Abidin Mustafa known as "Ammar" mentioning that the two members died "in the line of duty".

Chairman of Hezbollah's Religious Authority Sheikh Mohammad Yazbeck, Head of Political Council Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed, and a number of partisans attended the funeral of Abu Abbas.
During the funeral Sheikh Yazbeck promised commitment to Jihadism and resistance "until victory is achieved."


According to Reuters, the same incident that caused the death of Abu Abbas and Ammar has also led to the injury of another member from the al-Samaha family who is currently recovering at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
