Hassan: A Remdesivir shipment arrived and will be distributed to hospitals

Caretaker Minister of Health Hamad Hassan voiced hopes that the total lockdown would help in decreasing the number of Coronavirus cases in the country.

“We also hope that the need for admission to hospitals would drop in order to up their readiness,” he added following a meeting at the Gramd Serail.

The minister also noted that the results of the total lockdown will not start to show before Wednesday.

“We also discussed the hospital’s dues, and we announced our readiness to transfer the 2020’s dues to the Ministry of Finance,” he added.

Hassan announced that the shipment of Remdesivir arrived yesterday in Beirut, adding that it will be distributed to hospitals while a quantity of it will remain with the agent in order not to create a black market for it.

In turn, Caretaker Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni that is ministry have pledged to start paying the hospitals’ dues as of this week.
