REPORT: Will the cabinet appoint Lebanese ambassadors on Wednesday?

The Lebanese cabinet is expected to appoint new ambassadors on Wednesday.

In this context, Foreign Affairs Minister Adnan Mansour said that the diplomatic appointments' list is almost complete, stressing that the suggested names have all parties' approval and that the confessional distribution was taken into consideration.

For over 6 years, the Lebanese parties were unable of reaching an agreement over these appointments.

There are more than 40 vacant positions in several countries, such as Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Italy and Spain.

Sources reported that many obstacles might hinder the diplomatic appointments, stressing that the appointments procedures are not ready yet.
