Wazni meets with BDL Governor Salameh

Caretaker Minister of Finance Ghazi Wazni met on Wednesday with the Central Bank Governor Riyad Salameh with talks focusing on all monetary and financial issues.

Following the meeting, Salameh said that he submitted some suggestions to Wazni that “he will examine as well as the Central Council of the Central Bank during the next 24 hours.”

“We believe that these suggestions will lead to a decrease in the exchange rate of the US dollar in Lebanon," he added.

Salameh then met with Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri at the Bayt al-Wasat.
