REPORT: When proving home ownership faces fraud hell

Citizens living in the “Beit Haidar” neighborhood, Wata Msaytbeh began settling as of 1931 when one of their forefathers allegedly bought property number 2215 from the Araman Family.

At that time, disputes erupted between the buyers and the sellers on the backdrop of property registration.

However, the Haidar family managed to win a lawsuit in 1959 confirming their ownership, but years passed with little happening to change the situation. All this until 2009 when a buyer came asking to purchase property.

By 2010, persons living in these properties were shocked when a lawsuit was raised against charging them will illegal tenancy.
