REPORT: The case of Superman's underwear; closed

The case of "Superman's underwear" against stand-up comedian Edmond Haddad was closed when the latter won the appeal .

The Judge decided that Haddad did not violate any ethical or moral regulations when he showed his underwear during a comedy show.

In this context, the comedian told LBCI that the court's decision is reasonable and called on the Lebanese citizens to freely express themselves.

A case which would have been deemed ridiculous in other countries, sadly made its way to the Lebanese courts. But with Edmond's win, Superman's boxer briefs redefined freedom of expression in modern day Lebanon.
