REPORT: Bab al-Tebbaneh, Jabal Mohsen stricken people receive first compensation

A four-member family from Jabal Mohsen in Tripoli was left homeless four months ago and has been living in a room at a relative's house ever since.

The members of this family do not have anything except for blankets and the offerings of their "generous relatives". All they want is one compensation payment in order to begin rebuilding their house.

Many families go through the same plight, whether they were from Jabal Mohsen or Bab al-Tebbaneh.

In this regard, the first payment of compensations allocated for these families by the High Relief Commission took place on Saturday at Tripoli’s Municipal Stadium; however, the number of beneficiaries remained low.

Stricken families only want two things: fast compensations and stabilityto make sure their houses do not get destroyed another time.
