Fairouz’ charm remains a mystery but one thing is for sure, she has enchanted us all.

Today, the legend turns 78. Her songs and her voice remind us of our childhood, bright up our mornings, ease up our wars and promote our peace. She is the only constant thing in the lives of the Lebanese.

When she sang about patriotism, we believed in the dream of building a beautiful country. She also sang to those who are in love as she did to the ones with a broken heart.

We believe everything she sings because she is simply Fairouz, the light that shines throughout our darkest hours.
