Prisoners’ mental illness focus of “The Blue Inmates” documentary-[REPORT]

“The Blue Inmates” documentary shows a part of the prisoners suffering from mental illness who committed crimes and have been detained in Lebanon’s prisons for years…

Their suffering is embodied in the documentary film “The Blue Inmates”, directed by Zeina Daccache in which she sheds light on the issues of prisoners who have been diagnosed with mental illness, those who are perpetrators of crimes, in light of a penal code articles that stipulates their detention in a precautionary shelter until their recovery is proven.
