Commemoration of the 17th anniversary of Hariri’s assassination-[REPORT]
Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri visited on Monday the late Prime Minister Rafic Hariri's tomb to commemorate the 17th anniversary of his assassination, whereby he began to greet the assembled masses, accompanied by MP Bahia Hariri, and family members, as they read the al-Fatiha prayer.

Political delegations, official figures, Prime Minister Najib Mikati and Former PM Fouad Siniora also visited the tomb, in addition to the heads and members of Future Movement coordinators in the regions, as well as a number of current and former MPs in the movement, and popular delegations supporting the movement from all Lebanese regions.

Progressive Socialist Party Chief Walid Jumblatt and his son Head of "Democratic Gathering" parliamentary bloc MP Taymour Jumblatt were also present and read the al-Fatiha prayer at the martyr’s tomb in Central Beirut.

Later in the day, Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi also visited the tomb, where he said that “Rafik Hariri's project, like the project of the current government, is to build the state, and that there is an insistence on holding parliamentary elections,” stressing that “Lebanon is Arab in identity and belonging, and that its image will not change.”

The memorial torch, which built in the assassination scene near the Saint George Hotel in Ain al-Mrayseh was also lit.
