REPORT: Tripoli loses its glory, markets, and popularity

The Lebanese Army deployed widely on Monday in both regions of Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh in Tripoli and conducted motorized patrols on the main road linking Tripoli with Akkar.

Shells are silent now, and only the whining of citizens can be heard.

Economy has slightly shifted in the vegetable market to reveal what the battles have damaged.

Far from the demarcation lines between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tebbaneh are popular markets.

Alleys lost their goods, vendors, people and dialogue between them, and trust for the return of stability in the region no longer exists.

Tripoli has lost its glory, markets have lost their popularity, and people are slowly losing hope.

In search of stability which may not last for long, the Lebanese army will be spread in the region as usual.
