Berri sets new presidential election session for October 24-[REPORT]
Lebanese parliament held on Thursday a presidential election session which failed to elect a new president.

During the first round, Michel Moawad received 42 votes, while 55 MPs cast blank ballots, 17 voted for “The New Lebanon,” one voted for Miled Abou Malhab, and 4 votes were canceled.

However, some of the deputies who had been present for the first round of voting left the session before the second round began. A new presidential election session was scheduled for Monday, October 24, as a result of the loss of  quorum.
