REPORT: Ongoing battle between Spinneys workers and administration

The employees of Spinneys overcame their struggle to form a syndicate and organize the election of its members only to be faced with the struggle of making the administration accept it.

This battle will not be easy, as the president of Spinneys' employees' syndicate said that whoever tries to join the syndicate receives threats and accusations; "this is what happened with employee Randa Younes," he said.

In this context, the administration accused the employee of theft, after denying reports stating that Spinneys' Director General "Michael Wright" was fired due to the latest incidents that took place between the employees and the company.

Conflicting reports emerged regarding the details of the story that varied between the point of view of the employees and that of the administration.

However, all these troubles and obstacles did not prevent the employees from activating their syndicate.
