REPORT: Gaza’s second hand markets become very popular

Abu Issam, an unemployed man who lives in Gaza frequents the second hand market in Firas souk to buy old clothes imported from Israel to his children.

70% of Gaza residents live in poverty. Therefore, the second hand merchandises are becoming more popular and traders are investing in used goods.

It is remarkable that Gaza residents are not ashamed to buy second hand goods due to the complicated life they are bearing.

Meanwhile, the tunnel smugglers became the wealthiest people in Gaza after the imposition blockade on the strip.
