REPORT: Pay scale approved amid objections to funding sources

The ranks and salaries series draft law was referred to the Parliament after the Union Coordination Committee exerted pressure on the cabinet by staging an open ended strike for a month, where teachers, students and parents took to the streets calling on the cabinet to grant the teachers their rights.

This report will expose the position of head of private school teachers association Nehme Mahfoud, as well as that of economy expert Kamal Hamdan pertaining to the approval of the series and the implications of its funding sources.
