REPORT: Stances of Future bloc and PSP regarding a General Authority session

Both the Future bloc and the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) consider that Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri refuses to hold a parliamentary General Authority session for reasons not only related to the electoral law, but also to extending the mandate of security apparatuses' chiefs.

In this context, PSP Deputy Akram Chehayyeb said that his party will not participate in any parliamentary session with the Orthodox Gathering's electoral draft on its agenda.

This report will examine the stances of the Future bloc and the PSP in regards to the aforementioned issues.
