REPORT: US provides Israel with military support

Israeli officials finalized on Monday an arms deal that sells Israel V-22 Osprey aircraft, refueling tankers as well as advanced radars for jets.

In this context, US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel assured Israel that the Obama administration is committed to preserving and improving the Jewish state's military edge in the Middle East.

As evidence of Washington's commitment, Hagel said the US will allow Israel to buy various new weapons, including US missiles and advanced radars for its strike aircraft.

This report will examine the stances of Hagel and the Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon in regards to the US military support to Israel, the Iranian nuclear program and the Syrian crisis.
