REPORT: Israel finds drone wreckage amid calls to assassinate Hezbollah’s Nasrallah

After finding the wreckage of the drone which was claimed to be coming from Lebanon and downed by Israel off Haifa coast, the Israeli Army seeks to reveal the mystery behind the incident and whether or not the drone was transporting explosives to implement an attack against Israeli targets.

While Israel rejects Hezbollah’s denial that it had sent the drone, it estimated that the gas fields in the Mediterranean Sea were the aircraft’s targets, claiming that Hezbollah is convinced that such strike, if implemented, would achieve a strategic balance.

This report will shed the light on the stances voiced by the Israelis regarding the incident, mainly the call launched by Haifa Mayor to assassinate Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, as well as the measures taken by the UNIFIL to launch investigations in the case.
