REPORT: New government formation proposal still pending approval
        
Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam wrapped up the first month since he has been tasked with the formation of the new government while the Lebanese parties are still discussing this outstanding issue.           
PM Salam is awaiting a response to a government formation proposal whereby the parliamentary seats are equally distributed as follows: 8 seats for the March 8 coalition and the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM), 8 seats for the March 14 coalition and 8 seats for the centrist bloc that includes PM Salam, President Michel Sleiman and the head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt.            

This report will examine the stances of the Lebanese parties and that of the PM-Designate Salam who will meet with a delegation of the March 8 coalition and the FPM as well as President Sleiman in order to tackle electoral files.
