REPORT: A closer look on appeals presented at Constitutional Council

The Lebanese Constitutional Council was established in 1994 and came as a direct result of the Taif accord.

The Council is entrusted to supervise the constitutionality of laws along with electoral appeals and the examination of conflicts arising from elections.

In this context, the Council approved several appeals submitted in 1994, 1996, 2000, 2005 and 2009.

This report will shed light on the electoral appeals submitted at this Council.
