"Al-Akhbar" learned that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian will visit Beirut at the end of this week.

Follow-up sources suggested that the postponement of Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry's visit to Lebanon is linked to the arrival of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to Cairo to discuss the Gaza prisoner swap deal.

The sources said: "Discussion regarding Lebanon will be put on hold for a period because the focus is currently on the Gaza file, in addition to the fact that the discussion on the southern front has not matured yet."
