Syrian exodus to Lebanon leads to rental prices increase
In light of the worsening crisis in Syria, Syrian families continue to flock from Aleppo and Damascus to the Lebanese regions of Aley, Bhamdoun and Beirut. Some of them chose hotels or furnished apartments while the majority resorted to relatives or friends.   

Beirut’s hotel rooms, from the most luxurious to the most ordinary are still among the most popular destinations of these displaced.    

While displaced Syrians mentioned the high rental prices, the Hotel Owners Association in Lebanon denied, through LBCI, that prices of apartments and hotel rooms are being manipulated, stressing that prices went down, especially after the Eid.     

Nonetheless, warm, generous hospitality remains the main characteristic of the Lebanese people, away from any attempt to exploit surrounding regional incidents.
