Youtube explains why “Innocence of Muslims” was published

Youtube website’s administration hid “Innocence of Muslims” in both Libya and Egypt after the violent protests against the film that was considered as an insult to Prophet Mohammad and his reputation.

However, Youtube’s administration insists on keeping the “Innocence of Muslims” posted on its website.

According to Los Angeles Times, “the film does not violate the general guidelines; there is no sexual content in the film, it does not encourage or justify violence, it does not include hateful words and does not promote drugs and things of that sort.”

Youtube stressed that the company did not review the film’s content upon the request of President Obama, knowing that several videos were erased previously from the website for violating the general guidelines.

For his part, Youtube's attorney emphasized that the website cannot control videos that are being uploaded every minute of the day.
