G7 calls on Houthis to stop threatening maritime transport

The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) countries called on Wednesday for the Houthis in Yemen to 'immediately cease' threatening maritime navigation and to release the crew of a cargo ship they seized in the Red Sea ten days ago.

The ministers stated, “We call on all parties not to threaten or obstruct the lawful exercise of the rights and freedoms of navigation for all ships.”
