Canada says relations with US won't return to pre-tariff state

Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly stated on Friday that relations with the United States will never return to their previous state after U.S. President Donald Trump announced new wide-ranging tariffs on Wednesday.

Upon arriving for a meeting with NATO foreign ministers in Brussels, Joly added that Canada is exerting maximum pressure on the Trump administration.
