Mobile and data networks return across Afghanistan: AFP

The mobile phone network returned to the capital Kabul and other provinces across Afghanistan, AFP journalists reported, 48 hours after a nationwide internet and phone shutdown.

Mobile networks and data had returned in Kabul, as well as in Khost, Kandahar, and Herat provinces, the journalists said, soon after a state-run network became operational again in the southern city of Kandahar.
