Rifi: Hezbollah sets record for breaking vows
The former Chief of the Internal Security Forces Maj. Gen. Ashraf Rifi stressed the need to hasten the formation of a neutral cabinet capable of managing a transitional period, preparing for a rescue stage and adopting the Baabda Declaration as the basis of its ministerial statement.

“We must not waste time with negotiations that will only lead to an unproductive cabinet and further paralysis and breakdown,” he said.

In a statement he issued on Friday, Rifi noted that “Hezbollah has set a record for breaking vows,” pointing out that the dialogue sessions and the Doha agreement can testify to it, as well as the intervention in the Syrian war.

“Today Hezbollah and its allies are violating the vows to which they committed to in a bid to facilitate the formation of a new cabinet,” he stated.
