Citizen loses control over vehicle, runs over woman and her son

Citizen Hassan Ali Mazloum, was shot dead on Wednesday by unknown assailants while driving near al-Taqwa mosque in Tripoli, causing him to lose control over his vehicle and run over a woman and her son.

The body of Mazloum was then pulled out of the vehicle and tortured.

Later on, a number of protesters cut-off the international highway in the Akkar town of Haysa to protest the killing of Mazloum in Tripoli.

Mazloum, who lives in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen, hails from the town of al-Rihanyeh in Akkar.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese army and the security forces are working on re-opening the road.
