Interior Minister says Lebanon’s security situation ‘under control’
Interior Minister Nouhad Mashnouq said on Tuesday that Lebanon’s security situation is “under control,” noting that terrorist plots have been thwarted.

Following his meeting with a delegation of the Association of Banks in Lebanon under the chairmanship of ABL head Francois Bassil, Mashnouq said the financial assistance offered by the Association of Banks to the Roumieh prison highlights the ABL’s national responsibility.

The restoration process begins next week, he said, noting that it is a phased process.

For his part, Bassil said he supports a comprehensive social settlement for all “disadvantaged” state employees, stressing the need to resolve their case in a fair manner.
