Water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon says water free of contamination

The Water Authority of Beirut and Mount Lebanon declared on Tuesday in a statement that the water piped through the Beirut and Mount Lebanon networks in the days following the torrential rain is free of chemical and bacterial pollution.

With garbage decomposing around Mount Lebanon, health and water sanitation experts started raising concerns that the winter rains would wash pollutants into the groundwater.
