A photo taken by LBCI veteran reporter Bassam Abou Zeid this morning can fairly summarize the current state of affairs in the country with a caption reading: “Grendizer arrested on charges of attempting to rescue Lebanon’s presidency, transported to Adlieh.”
Adlieh, also known as the country’s Justice Palace last made headlines when MP Nicolas Fattouch punched a female employee, identified as Manale Daou, responsible for filing complaints at the Justice Palace last year.
But so much has happened since then. Examples include Elissa and Christina Sawaya’s cover release of “Mawtini”, Justice Minister Achraf Rifi and Interior Minister Nouhad al-Machnouq’s battle for the Prime Minister seat and Youmna Bachir Gemayel’s wedding.
As for Grendizer? The UFO robot will just have to try again… Maybe on an a different planet, because on this one, and specifically in Lebanon, no president, an illegitimate cabinet and an extended parliament amid a myriad other issues are really not a problem.
