FPM: Mikati’s statements full of distortion and speculation

FPM media office said on Tuesday that PM Najib Mikati makes “public statements that are full of distortion and speculation since he attacks those that he claims ‘violate the premiership’s prerogatives, encroaching on the rights of the Sunni sect’.”

The media office recalled article 64 of the Lebanese constitution which stipulates the prerogatives of the prime minister, asking Mikati to determine which clause is being violated and who is violating the Sunni sect.

The office also asked, based on clauses 7 and 8 of article 64, “who is the one acting beyond his prerogatives and violating other people’s prerogatives?”
