Final report on Fassouh building’s collapse to be issued within 10 days
Minister Marwan Charbel headed the second meeting of the committee charged with examining the reasons behind the building’s collapse in Fassouh at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities.

The attendees examined the first technical report that mentioned the 3 options that may be behind the building’s collapse: first, an old wall that was removed without the supervision of engineers, second the negative impact of a new building built right next to the one that collapsed and third moving groundwater.

Minister Charbel said that the final report is supposed to be issued within 10 days.

Commenting on Thursday’s hubbub about the warning conveyed to MP Gemayel advising him to take precautions, Charbel said that there was a misunderstanding, adding that the issue must not be exaggerated.
