Tripoli regains its calm situation despite loud gunshots

A cautious calm prevailed in the northern port city of Tripoli on Sunday after two days of heavy gun battles between two neighborhoods left at least three people dead and 23 injured.

The gun battles between the Tripoli neighborhoods of Bab al-Tebbaneh and Jabal Mohsen resumed despite the ceasefire.

The reporters said that the gunfire heard in Bab al-Tebbaneh came from a funeral held for one of the victims of the gun battles.
