Beirut MPs discuss Roman hippodrome issue, criticize Layyoun
Beirut MPs held a meeting on Friday at the parliament where they discussed the issue of Beirut’s Roman hippodrome.   

The participants confirmed that they are currently looking into the issue, adding that Culture Minister Gaby Layyoun will not be able to “manipulate Beirut’s history and heritage.”   

The MPs also revealed a raft of procedures to be taken in this regard, including appealing with the Shura Council.
