On the outside, the municipal elections in the Zahle town of Taalabaya seemed a democratic process, but on the inside, it appeared to be a coated election dominated by politics and quotas.
This as Zahle’s Serail witnessed a hubbub while electing the mayor and his deputy, due to failure to commit to the agreements reached during the formation of the candidate lists.
