REPORT: Parliament's joint committees meet to discuss electoral draft law
Parliamentary joint committees held a meeting Tuesday to discuss a new electoral draft law.

Following the session, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad stressed that “the path adopted in the discussions will lead nowhere.”

The deputy added that “what is needed is another discretion-free methodology,” calling for full relativity to be adopted in the new electoral law.

For his part, Liberation Parliamentary bloc member, MP Kassem said that there is no shared ground in the discussions, which is leading to the obstruction of an agreement over a new electoral law.

“The best solution would be returning to relativity,” he stated.
