Al-Qaa was not and will not be an easy target for terrorism – Sleiman

Former Lebanese President Michel Sleiman stressed Friday that “al-Qaa town was not and will not be an easy target for terrorism.”

Suleiman pointed out during the “Gathering of the Republic” that “the latest developments in Lebanon and the region highlight the importance of what was previously emphasized in Baabda Announcement, which had developed a technical and practical framework to resolve the cross-border control and fortify border-villages.”

The gathering also warned of promoting the taking up of arms, requesting the government to take exceptional steps in resolving the terrorist threats to reassure the residents of border-villages.

In the same context, they called for the formation of a national committee for refugees to organize their presence in Lebanon, that in preparation for their safe and secure return home.
